A Bit About Me

I aspire to become a creative artist, social campaigner, and education program developer.

Does it sound too ambitious? Not at all—my goals are interconnected: I aim to inspire, encourage, and empower people through my artwork and guide them to channel their talents and resources to help those in need.

My resume below, detailing my activities over the past four years, illustrates what I value and dream of achieving!

RESUME 

Leadership & Volunteer

Best Buddies Korea, School Chapter Founder & Program Leader                           August 2022 to Present 

  • Co-founded Best Buddies Korea during its initial launch phase, establishing the organization's presence in Korea.

  • Founded and led the school chapters at SSI and SPPS, promoting awareness of disability rights and volunteerism among students.

  • Developed and implemented annual support programs and organized national events to foster inclusivity and community engagement. 

  • Collaborated with major organizations such as the US Embassy in Korea to coordinate support festivals and enhance organizational outreach. 

 City Mural Collective, Selected Muralist                                

September 2023 to Present

  • Joined a city muralists' group to explore abandoned sites and create murals that enhance urban aesthetics.

  • Conducted site assessments to identify suitable mural locations and coordinated with building owners and government organizations to obtain necessary approvals.

  • Completed over seven mural projects to date, showcasing artistic talent and community engagement.

 Yookyoung Market Project for Children with IDD, Campaign Designer                June 2024 to Present

  • Developed a fundraising campaign to establish a convenience store aimed at teaching children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) basic economic concepts, including money handling and product exchange.

  • Initiated and secured support from GS Retail, one of Korea's largest convenience store chains, by presenting our goals and vision to promote economic literacy among children with IDD.

  • Successfully established the first convenient store oriented for children with IDD at Yookyoung School, a specialized institution for children with various other learning challenges in Korea

  • Designed and continue to support educational programs tailored for children with IDD to foster their learning and development. 

 

 Hope for All Families (HAF), Volunteer Teacher & Fund-Raiser                                2024 to Present

  • Volunteered at HAF, a center supporting multicultural children facing difficulties in integrating into schools and communities due to language barriers, limited educational opportunities, and cultural adaptation challenges.

  • Taught Korean, English, art, and sports through regular visits to children to support their language development and personal growth; also developed art therapy programs for the children

  • Developed a scholarship program for children in critical need by connecting NGOs to secure funding, benefiting twelve children whose support will continue for the next three years; additionally, designed career-experience programs for children, including visits to local career centers and festivals, to help them develop personal goals.
     

The SALT, Co-founder & Volunteer Program Designer                                

July 2023 to Present

  • Co-founded this student-led NGO dedicated to supporting underserved communities.

  • Developed educational videos and books to teach African children and migrant workers in Korea.

  • Designed fundraising activities aimed at building schools in developing regions such as Africa.  (https://www.saltvolunteer.org/)

Extracurricular/School Clubs

Varsity Volleyball, Captain & Varsity Player                            

August 2022 to Present

  • Led the school varsity volleyball team to compete in the Korea International School league, securing 2nd place in 2024 

  • Established the varsity volleyball team at SSI, a new art-focussed international school I transferred to, which previously had limited sports teams

  • Developed and managed training programs to enhance the performance and teamwork of the SSI varsity volleyball team.  

School Magazine & Newspaper, Designer                      

September 2022 to Present

  • Joined the school newspaper and magazine club, actively designing layouts and contributing to the content and overall presentation of both publications. 

 

Multicultural Art Exhibition and School Exhibitions, Exhibition Planner  

    February 2025 to Present 

  • Collaborated with peers to design school art exhibitions, creating memorable and impactful experiences for all visitors.

  • Served as the designated leader for the Multicultural Art Exhibition, appointed by the Seoul Youth Committee, responsible for planning and coordination.

International Conferences, Translator            

February 2025 to Present 

  • At the recommendation of my school teacher, I provided translation services for international conferences focused on human rights and environmental protection.

  • Donated my translation pay to the SALT and HAF, NGOs I support, after being compensated for my services.
